Telling someone you appreciate them not only makes them happy but it makes you feel happier as well. When you go out of your way to send thanks in an unexpected way, when the thanks is not expected, the impact is that much more. You can thank people for many different things. It doesn’t always have to be because they have done something for you. It can also be because they inspire you, make you happy, make you think, etc.
There are many different ways to say thank you. You can write a quick note, leave a small gift/surprise, do a favor for someone before they ask, etc.
Write a thank you note to someone different every day for a week. You don’t need to send a handwritten note and it doesn’t need to go through the mail – you can use email, Facebook messages, or text. Friends are often thrilled to know that they are appreciated. The more often you do this the more happiness you share and the happier you will be.
